To enhance the exchange and interaction among people working on biophysics in Freiburg, we are organizing the 2026 Biophysical Coffee Meeting Freiburg, which will take place on October 02, 2026 at the University of Freiburg (R 00 002 Flachbau, Albertstr. 21).

The Biophysical Coffee Meeting Freiburg brings together biophysics researchers from across the city for an afternoon of conversation and science. Too often, exciting work happens in parallel across different institutes and departments without ever crossing paths, and the Biophysical Coffee Meeting is where that changes. Expect short talks, poster presentations, and plenty of room for discussion over coffee and snacks. Whether you’re looking for fresh perspectives, future collaborators, or simply a friendly community that cares about biophysics, this is the place to be.

Doctoral researchers and postdocs are especially encouraged to present.

Please sign up until September 11, 2026 (abstract submission) or September 25, 2026 (attendance only) and indicate whether you would like to present 

• a talk (15 + 5 min Q&A),
• a flash talk (5 min, 1 slide or chalk board only),
• a poster (DIN A0 (1189mm x 841 mm),
• or attend without presentation
